Sebastián Piracés / Ataque Tropical

Bio
Sebastián Piracés is a Mexican-born, Brazil-raised musician, singer and performer whose work has always been connected to the rhythms, sounds and cultures of Latin America.
He is best known as the founder and frontman of Francisco, el Hombre, one of Brazil’s most active and acclaimed bands of the last decade. With the band, he released five albums, received Latin Grammy nominations and played more than 1,000 shows across Brazil, Latin America and Europe, from independent venues to major festivals, sharing stages with artists such as Manu Chao and Frente Cumbiero.
After the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2025, Sebastián started a new chapter with his solo project and the Brasilatinamericano Tour, taking his music and live performance to new audiences around the world.
At the same time, he created Ataque Tropical, a DJ project developed together with Malfeitona. More than a traditional DJ set, Ataque Tropical is a celebration of the Latin American dancefloor — bringing together the music they grew up with, the sounds they discovered while travelling, and the strange and unexpected things they find along the way.
The sets move freely between cumbia, reggaeton, perreo, tecnomelody, axé, funk, ska and other tropical sounds, mixing well-known tracks with forgotten gems, underground music and everything in between.
There is no strict formula. The idea is simple: good music, a lot of rhythm and a dancefloor that doesn’t stand still.
